Holmes County Friends & Neighbors of Every Woman's House Garden Tour

SAVE THE DATE ANNOUNCEMENT– JULY 10, 2010

HOLMES COUNTY FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS OF EVERY

WOMAN’S HOUSE GARDEN TOUR

 

Holmes County Friends & Neighbors of Every Woman’s House encourages you to “Save the Date” for their bi-annual garden tour.  The date for this year’s event will be Saturday, July 10, and the gardens can be viewed from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (rain date will be July 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

 

Featured gardens will be at the homes of Leonard & Jane Bilek, Chuck & Marianne O’Neal (Swan Lake) with a silent auction being held at this location, Bill & Louise Tallion and the Tysl Family (Quiet Country).

 

General admission tickets will be available at a cost of $5.00 per person.  They will go on sale beginning June 1 at the following locations:

 

Commercial & Savings Bank offices in Millersburg, Berlin, Charm, Shreve, Walnut Creek and Winesburg 

Rodhe’s  SuperCenter in Millersburg

Buehler’s at Milltown (Wooster)

Buzzard’s Shoe Store in Loudonville

Richardson’s Greenhouse outside of Loudonville

Moore’s Greenhouse outside of Big Prairie

 

A Garden Breakfast will take place at the Nashville Methodist Church at 9:00 a.m. prior to the viewing of the gardens.  The featured speaker will be “Ruth the Grower” Hale.   Ruth has a degree in Agricultural Business and 17 years experience in commercial greenhouse production.  The topic of Ruth’s presentation will be “Mother Nature’s Specialty, the 4X4 area garden that will save you $600 on your grocery bill.”

 

The Garden Breakfast has limited seating available and can be attended with the advance purchase of a patron’s ticket at $25.00 each or two for $45.00.  Special pricing has been established for groups (garden clubs or church groups) of five or more at $20.00 per person.  To purchase a patron’s ticket, please contact Vicki Morrison at 330-674-2857 or Eleanor Runyan at 330-231-1165.

 

Holmes County Friends & Neighbors of Every Woman’s House provides additional support and fundraising for Every Woman’s House, a private, non-profit organization, dedicated to providing crisis intervention, treatment, counseling, prevention and support for those affected by domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
